Trick or Treat!

These three little cuties are from the Halloween EZMount™ Stamp Set - Trick or Treating

The images are stamped onto Ultra Smooth Premium White Cardstock. I colored the little trick-or-treaters' with Spectrum Noir Blendable Colored PencilsSpectrum Noir Paper Stumps, and Spectrum Noir Blending Solution.  For their skin, I used Spectrum Noir Markers as my first layer, then used the pencils for the shading.  The background is a gelli print from my stash. Trick or Treat - New Halloween Stamps!

Today is the day! The Halloween sets are available! There are four new sets:

* Trick or Treating
* Best Witches
* Happy Haunting
* Look Whoooo's Watching

My design is from Look Whoooo's Watching. I just love those little pumpkins!

 I started with the background - Sheena and Shimmer!  The emboss folder is Sheena Douglass Embossing Folder 5" x 7" - Silhouette Lane on Shimmering Cardstock black pearl.  I really dig using emboss folders with the Shimmer Cardstock - the dimension really pops.

The fence and cute, cute pumpkins image is stamped onto  Ultra Smooth Premium White Cardstock and colored with Spectrum Noir Blendable Colored Pencils. Of course, I started with the pumpkins. :) Using the darkest shade 024 and working outside in, I colored in the shape of the parts of each pumpkin.

Next I added the middle shade 022 and filled in more of the shapes.

I filled in the rest with the lightest shade 021 - not blending yet, just filling the rest of the image.

After I finished filling in color, I came back in with the lightest 021 and also white 001 to blend, in small, gentle, smooth circles.

045, 048 were perfect for the pumpkin stems.

I gave the fence a touch of shading 115.

I cut out the fence and popped it up with circles.

Sneak Peek - Look Whoooo's Watching

Today I'm sharing a sneak peek at a new line of Halloween stamps that are coming out! This sentiment is from Look Whoooo's Watching.

For the background, I wanted a spatter, artsy look - I used Spectrum Noir Ink Refills on top of  Shimmering Cardstock white pearl. I first made sure all the ink out of the True Black dropper and then and then squeezed it on the flat cardstock. It blows out a little color with air.

Next, I added some some drops with OR2.

The main image stamped onto  Ultra Smooth Premium White Cardstock  and colored with Spectrum Noir Blendable Colored Pencils. I colored the darkest orange at the top of each letter in a row, then went back with the middle color and then the lightest at the bottom, softly blending each color with the one before. I used 021, 022, 026.

I used Die'sire Decorative Dies - Nouveau Stamping Frame to cut around the sentiment. Before removing it from the die, I dabbed in a little Distress Ink Pad spiced marmalade and Radiant Neon ink pads electric orange with a Sponge Dauber.

I cut the background down to an A2 size and sponged around the border with the neon orange.

I also sponged around the sentiment. I used a pointy cotton swap to get in the tight curves and also added some swirls with the neon ink.

I layered over Shimmering Cardstock black.  I cut to allow for a nice wide border so you could see all the lovely shimmer.

There will be four fabulous, fun sets!
