I made this water-colored tree to feature the Die'sire Classiques - Spring/Summer Metal Dies - Four Seasons.
I de-bossed into a piece of A2 size Crafter's Companion Watercolour Cardstock.

On the back side of the card, I rubbed white crayon over the raised outlines, creating a wax resist for water coloring. I scribbled Spectrum Aqua Markers Terracotta, Chocolate onto a palette and picked up color with a water brush, allowing the colors to dry.
Next, I added leaves - Spectrum Aqua Markers Bud Green, Evergreen, Navy. While they were still wet, I added more browns to the trunk allowing the colors to blend and create an artsy look.
I used the same colors in the ground area and blended them together with a wet brush. I used the in tip of all three colors to create random blades of grass, then blurred them with the water brush. After it dried, I went back in with the thin tip of Bud Green and added some more, blending at the base.
TIPS: Use a paper towel to clean your brush in between colors and wipe off excess water. Continue to add water and color until you are happy with it.
The sentiment is from Sheena's A Little Bit Sketchy EZMount Stamp Set - True Colors stamped with an India ink pad. I edged the water colored layer with Spectrum Aqua Markers Black.
