New Summer Inspiration

The newly released Crafter's Inspiration - Issue 7 Summer Edition is filled with supplies, ideas, inspiration and fun! My favorites are Sheena's poppy stamp set and die cut and the techniques CD-ROM - a CD and a DVD packed with tips, designs, ideas and inspiration.

For the flowers, I used a water brush to spread a small amount of water onto Crafter's Companion Watercolour Cardstock,  colored directly on the stamp image with Spectrum Aqua Markers, stamped them on the damp cardstock and spread color with a water brush. It created a soft fluffy look to the flowers. I used the matching die to cut them out. The flower center is from a die cut using Shimmering Cardstock.

The butterfly was made by coloring the poppy stamp with an Spectrum Aqua Marker, lightly spritzing with water and stamping onto dry cardstock. I used a black permanent pen to draw the body, antennae and wings, and then cut it out.   The embossing folder and sentiment are also from the summer edition.
