Sara's in Town!

Sara is here in the USA showcasing the cool line of Die’sire Edge’ables Borders Dies and other wonderful Crafter's Companion products on HSN today! I made this design to celebrate.

To create the sky background I spritzed water onto a piece of A2 size Crafter's Companion Watercolour Cardstock and added color with Fireworks Sprays.  I used two different techniques:
WET (1) While the sprays were still wet, I dabbed paper towel into the color.
DRY (2) After it dried, I pressed firmly with a folded damp paper towel to make the clouds. I also spritzed water directly on the color and pressed a paper towel. The clear water, "pulls color out."  TIP: If you get any hard edges, dabbed lightly with a clean damp area of the paper towel.

After the spray inks dry completely,  I stamped the tree image onto the background, I used a water brush to fill in color from the outside lines. I stamped a second image about a half inch to the right and a little shorter, and then filled in color like the first one. After they dried, I masked them with a low tack tape and stamped two more images. NOTE: I stamped off first so the images would not be vivid, giving the illusion they were further back further back.

After the trees dried completely, I added snow to them with a paintbrush and Memento Luxe Reinker wedding dress. I let it dry completely before the next step. To make the snow sparkle, I added Stickles star dust. I also used it to create snowflakes in the sky.

I adhered scene to a piece of Ultra Smooth Premium White Cardstock and finished off the card with the lovely detailed Edge'ables Christmas Only Words - Let It Snow die cut. I love how the trees peak through the letters!
