12 Days of Crafter's Christmas Wishes - A Christmas Thank You

12 Days of Crafter's Christmas Wishes continues this month at Crafter's Companion.

Have you ever received a really special Christmas gift - so special that you made a thank you card? Today is all about Christmas Thank You Cards.

I'm using another image from the Makey Bakey line line. They are just so darn cute!

I colored one section at a time imagining the highlight was in the center. I colored from the outside in, starting with the darkest color I pressed firmly. With the lighter value, I used a lighter touch coloring towards the center and leaving some white. I blended with a very small amount of solution and a light touch, in small circles. In smaller areas, I just used pencils, blending with the lightest color. NOTES: (1) I like to color all of one color/combination of shades at one time and then move to the next color. (2) I put my blending solution in a small container with a sponge to control how much I pick up. (3) I use different size stumps and when I change colors, I sharpen the stump on the Spectrum Noir Paper Stump Sander. I extended the branch to the edge of the cardstock.

I ran the 8" X 8" Embossalicious Embossing Folder - Christmas Baubles through my eBosser on Shimmering Cardstock green envyThe sentiment is from  Sentimentals EZMount Stamp Set - Love is all you need stamped onto Shimmering Cardstock white pearl, and cut it out with Die'sire Essentials Dies - Circles.  The layers were edged with a black water-based marker. I used a craft knife to cut the bow on the embossed ornament and slipped the thank you circle under. I added a touch of Stickles star dust for the sparkle of the ornament.
