I'm creating in my journal today!
I used a plastic card to put down a thin layer of gesso and allowed it to dry completely. Next I added color using daubers, sweepers, spray inks, mixed media ink, and stencils. I stayed in the blue and green family. NOTE: I moved the stencil up to extend the height of the trees. I also used a paper towel to dab off extra color and then dab in other places.

I used the stencils and a baby wipe to gently rub out some of the color. TIP: you get this effect when you lay gesso down first. I added background text and a lovely lady that I colored with pencils. I used texture stamps to add some interest.
For a final element on the page, I drew in a close up of a face.
