PEACE

My design today was inspired by an on-line art class I'm taking from Joanne Sharpe. One of the lessons features art work inside big block letters. I thought images from Sheena's A Little Bit Scenic - Pinescape set would work great for this type of design.

I drew my letters first with a pencil onto Ultra Smooth Premium White Cardstock, then made the lines permanent with a black marker.  Since I was going to be stamping across open space, I used a liquid masking fluid to cover the areas I did not want the images to be in.  I used a wooden nib to apply the fluid.

Next, I inked up the tree line image from Sheena's A Little Bit Scenic - Pinescape with various colors of green and blue Memento Ink Dew Drops, and stamped across the letters.  NOTE: the best time is erase the pencil lines is before putting down the mask, but I forgot. :o) When erasing I had to be careful not to erase over the liquid.

I dabbed the ink off the liquid mask with a tissue and gently removed the liquid mask with an adhesive remover.  Next, I colored in more of the scene with my  Spectrum Noir Markers:
ground: LY1, CG1, CG2
water: IB1, IB2
sky: TB1, TB2, TB3

To add detail, I used the single small pine tree image from the set with the same dew drop colors.  I masked with low tack little notes.

For another touch of detail, I used a glitter pen on the water for a  few glistening highlights.
