Art-Kure is coming out with a new release this month! I love the detail in their images AND this release will focus on USA sites. The technique I used for this design goes perfect with detailed designs.
The Mt. Rushmore image was stamped onto Kraft Cardstock and colored with Spectrum Noir Blendable Colored Pencils. To make sure my pencils had a sharp point, I used the Spectrum Noir Pencil Sharpener. I used 001 (pressing lightly to medium, building color) to color in the highlights.
I used 120 to darken lines (pressing hard) and shadows (pressing lightly to medium, building color). TIP: To provide a guide/inspiration for coloring, use google. I found a several photos to choose from to help identify highlights and shadows.
I finished off the little scene by adding highlights and shadows to the trees and landscape below the Presidents. The sentiment is from Die'sire Sentimentals EZMount Stamp Set - Ornate using Die'sire Essentials Squares and Die'sire Essentials Scalloped squares, ran through my eBosser.
