Crafter's Companion May Challenge - Masculine Cards

This month's Crafter's Companion Challenge Blog theme is Masculine Cards.

I'm featuring a wonderful tree image from the Art-Kure line, it's called Art-Kure EZMount Stamp - Elm Tree.

I love the detail in the Art-Kure images!  I inked up the leaves and grass with a forest moss Distress Ink Pad and colored the trunk with a brown water-based maker. I spritzed a small amount of water over the color and stamped onto Ultra Smooth Premium White Cardstock. I love the effect! It's a watercolor effect, and you can still see some detail in the leaves and on the ground.

I toned down the design paper and edges of the white card stock with a tea dye Distress Ink Pad and a blending tool.

I wrote the word "DAD" with my EB8  Spectrum Noir Marker across some little shell accents (from my local Hobby Lobby).

Adhered the layers,  added some fibers from my stash and a piece of ribbon and voila! A fabulous card for DAD!

Every month, there's a fun challenge with a chance to win a voucher to shop at Crafter's Companion.
