Monday Inspiration for Creative Crafts Challenge Blog

Good Morning! I'm so excited to be sharing the Monday inspiration this week highlighting fall colors for the Crafters Companion October Challenge. Today I'm sharing a fun technique for those who dig coloring  like me! :o)  It also works for those who don't like to color because it takes little effort and you get nice results. The technique features Spectrum Noir Markers - they are not just for paper.  :o) It is a very easy technique and you will find you get lovely blending results.

I laid the pumpkin peel off sticker (sticky side down) over one side of double sided tape.  I peeled off the other side an laid it onto a piece of scrap cardstock.  Next I sprinkled micro fine glitter onto the pumpkin and pressed it down with my fingers. I tapped the extra glitter back into the container.  Then, It was time to color!!

I started with the leaves using DG2, DG3. and the Blender. I laid down my darkest color first and then used the lighter color and Blender to spread the dark color. Lovely results!  A few times, I did have to lightly scribble onto scrap paper to wipe my marker clean due to picking up a little glitter.

Next I colored pumpkins. I used OR3 and  OR1 in  a small area of a section, then spread color with the blender.

For the background, I used a black ribbon and some design paper from my stash. On the lower piece,  I used an emboss folder to give a little texture.

Easy, quick and fun technique!!
