Glistening Optimism

There's something heartwarming when you receive a card out of the blue...a card that encourages you and lifts you up.

To create the glistening background, I spritzed a small amount of  water onto  Ultra Smooth Premium White Cardstock , then sprayed a few Fireworks! spray inks - summer sky, pear tart, cottage ivy - and then spritzed a little more water. The effect is a lovely watercolor look that glistens.

After the background completely dried, I randomly stamped the large and small foliage images from Little Bit Sketchy EZMount Stamp Set - Optimism with a Delicata Golden Glitz Ink Pad and allowed it to dry.

Next, I stamped the large foliage image with a India Ink Black Pad and colored with my  my Spectrum Noir Blendable Colored Pencils.  Colors used: 055, 056, 058.  I'm having so much fun with these pencils and lovin' the results I get!  I get rich color without pressing hard and they blend seamlessly.

The sentiment is from the set.
