I love the simplicity of these designs. There are several sets that have large and small images of a featured flower. This image is from the iris set. For color inspiration, I Googled iris images. I practice on a scrap piece of watercolor paper to get the combination of markers that gave me the results I wanted.
I colored the markers directly on the watercolor paper and then spread the color with a water brush - working in one section at a time starting in the lightest area.
After I cut out the image, I edged it with a black marker and placed it on a white embossed background. Check out all the new Darcie designs released last week.
